Acorn and Arrow

Privacy Policy

Effective November 3, 2026

Acorn and Arrow makes learning apps for young children, starting with Bookaroo, a learn-to-read app for ages 4 to 8. We built our apps so families don't have to worry about privacy. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means.

Who we are

Acorn and Arrow is a business name of Elite App Studio LLC, 2209 Regency Dr, Irving, TX 75062, USA. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Acorn and Arrow and Elite App Studio LLC. This policy covers our apps, including Bookaroo, and this website.

The short version

What our apps collect

Our apps do not ask children for their name, email, photo, voice, location, or any other personal information, and do not send it to us. There are no child accounts or sign-ins.

To make lessons work, the app saves your child's learning progress (for example, which lessons have been completed) on the device itself. That progress is not sent to us, and we can't see it.

Information parents send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to answer you and help with our apps. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't sell or share it. Please don't include information about your child that we don't need to help you.

No ads and no third-party tracking

Our apps show no advertising and contain no third-party advertising or tracking tools. We do not build profiles of children or track them across apps or websites.

Parent gate

Settings and any links that leave the app sit behind a parent gate, so a grown-up has to step in before a child can change settings or open a website.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Our apps are designed for children under 13, and we follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Because our apps do not collect personal information from children, there is nothing for us to request parental consent for. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by emailing us, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights as a parent

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you or your child, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it. In practice, the only information we may have is email you have sent us. Email [email protected] and we'll respond promptly.

Deleting your data

Because progress is stored only on your device, you control it. Deleting the app from the device removes your child's progress. To delete emails you have sent us, just ask.

App stores

When you download our apps, Apple's App Store or Google Play handles the download and any purchase under their own privacy policies. We don't receive your payment details.

This website

This website has no ads and no tracking or analytics tools. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare) that may process basic technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages securely.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If we ever change how we handle children's information, we will update this policy first and get any consent the law requires before doing so.
